Come and turn back the pages of history with us at Treetops Montessori School over the Darlington Arts Festival weekend. Take a glimpse of the school site over the ages, from the pre-history of the current school, through three more decades, to a look to the future. Five of the school’s classrooms will be open as museums for each era.
Come and catch up with former Treetops staff. Geraldine, Christina, Sue, Lynda and Lorraine will all be at school from 12.30pm to 3pm on the Saturday. Many students and staff of all the four schools: the Lance Holt School, Beenong School, Hills Family School, and Treetops Montessori School will attend at different times throughout the weekend. Send your child on a scavenger hunt of information through the displays, filling in a quiz sheet as they go.
Treetops will again have a stall at the Darlington Arts Festival. We will be selling homemade lemonade and cookies, and will also have activities available for children and an area for parents to sit. A ‘walking-bus’ from the Treetops tent to the School Museum will be arranged on the hour.
Our music performance is scheduled for 2.10pm on the Sunday on the Main Stage. Please come and support our students.
We will be celebrating our 30th anniversary with a cake, in the Treetops tent, straight after our music performance. We would love anyone with any association with the school (past or present) to join us for a slice of cake.
There will be a number of our students’ submissions to the art exhibitions at the Arts Festival.
Looking forward to a great weekend, see you all there!
